Love Where You Live

Nomination Form

Love Where You Live Cherokee County, GA was created in 2024 as a way for Cherokee County residents to share what they love about the county and grow the existing strong sense of community. The initiative features Cherokee County residents sharing what they love about where they live and why.

The program allows residents to connect or reconnect with their community and tell their story. Content is positive and uplifting, and is aimed at highlighting people from all around the county, from different walks of life, with various interests. Love Where You Live content is placed on Cherokee County’s YouTube channel and shared on Cherokee County’s social media platforms and e-newsletters.

 

Nominate a friend, relative or neighbor to be featured in the Love Where You Live initiative!

To be considered, a nominee must be a resident of Cherokee County with no minimum time of living in the county. They can live within city limits or in unincorporated Cherokee County. Nominees should be willing to share on video what they do in the community, why they loving living in Cherokee County, and share positive/uplifting experiences they have had in the community.

Click the "Nomination Form" button above and fill out the form to nominate someone for Love Where You Live. A committee will review each application and select individuals to be featured. A phone or video call interview may be requested before selections are determined. If selected, the nominator and nominee will be notified.

Nominate a non-profit to be a beneficiary of the Community Giveback

Nominations for non-profits to be beneficiaries of the Community Giveback are open throughout the year. To be considered for the current year, nominations must be submitted by Aug. 31 of each year. To nominate a non-profit, simply click the "Non-Profit Nomination Form" above and complete the form. Non-profits must have valid non-profit status, be based in Cherokee County, and serve Cherokee County. A committee will review the applications and select a non-profit to be awarded a financial contribution in November. Love Where You Live is a local tourism initiative primarily funded through Hotel Motel Tax dollars.
