When Is A Fence Permit Required?
A fence permit is required when:
- A new fence will exceed 7 feet in height.
- An existing fence is being replaced with a fence over7 feet tall.
- An existing fence is being modified in a way that increases its height to more than 7 feet.
Note: Other permits or approvals may also be required depending on the location of the property or the scope of the project.
Application Requirements
- Engineered drawings for the proposed fence
- A detailed site plan showing:
Property lines
Existing structures
Easements (if applicable)
Proposed fence location
- A completed fence application.
The permit fee is $50.00 payable by check or card.
