Commissioners adopt 30-day moratorium on Data Centers

On July 21, 2026, the Cherokee County Board of Commissioners adopted a 30-day moratorium on accepting any new applications related to data centers. There is a public hearing scheduled for the August 18th Board of Commissioners meeting to hear from the public on this topic.
