Capital/Public Facility Grant Application Open

Cherokee County is accepting applications for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program capital/public facility project only. 

All projects must substatially benefit low and moderate income persons.  At least 70% of the persons served with CDBG assisted projects must be low or moderate income as required by CDBG regulations.  Cherokee County provides assistance to government agencies and non-profit organizations.  All non-profit agencies must have proof of current 501(c)(3) status. 

The application process is currently open, and all applications and supporting materials are to be mailed or dropped off by 4pm on Friday, January 30, 2026. Information requarding the application process and application templates can be found on the County's website at http://www.cherokeega.com/CDBG (under forms and documents).
