CATS Transit

Ride with CATS|NoShow Policy

No-show policy 2026

Purpose: To encourage passengers to be responsible and notify CATS if they are unable to make a scheduled trip.

Policy Statement: CATS make’s every effort to pick up an individual even if the individual does not show.

Guidelines:

  1. A trip is considered a “No Show” when the driver has waited for five (5) minutes past the pick-up time stated on the daily manifest.
  2. The driver will notify dispatch of his/her unsuccessful communication for the passenger and dispatch will advise the driver if the trip will be classified as a “No Show”.
  3. The driver should select “No show” as instructed by Dispatch and record properly on the tablet.
  4. Each “No Show” will be investigated as to whether the passenger made a good faith effort to cancel the trip, or whether a misunderstanding or miscommunication caused the missed trip.
  5. The Second consecutive “No Show” CATS will notify (call) the passenger and the passenger will be notified in writing. Third consecutive No-Show” the passenger will be suspended from CATS for 30 days.
  6. These No Shows will be evaluated on a case by case basis by CATS and DHS agencies
