Stacy Jones, Director - Cherokee County Senior Services.
Stacy, a native of Cherokee County, attended Cherokee High and graduated from Georgia Highlands College in 2023 with a Criminal Justice Major and a Minor in Sociology. She embarked on her professional journey with Senior Services at the age of 19 as a Homemaker. Over the past 26 years, she has progressively advanced through various roles, including administrative, Meals On Wheels Assistant, Information and Assistance, Caregiver Support, Homemaker Coordinator, and Assistant Director. Stacy also played a pivotal role in helping to develop and coordinate the Respite and Personal Care Voucher. Her tenure culminated in her promotion to Director in July 2025, a testament to her dedication and competence.
Stacy's commitment to senior services extends beyond her professional role. She has been an active member of the Alzheimer's Association Steering Committee, contributing to the coordination and planning of the Atlanta walks. Her dedication is further evidenced by her certification through the Alliance of Information and Referral Systems in Aging and Disabilities and her completion of the Management Development Program at the Carl Vinson Institute of Government.
Stacy's personal life is just as rich as her professional one. She finds joy in spending time with her family, attending church, rescuing dogs, and cheering on the Braves at Truist Park. Her and her husband, Chris, are actively involved in their local DFCS adoption program for Legal-Risk Children, a cause close to their hearts.
"My career has been an enormous blessing from God. My goal is to continue helping seniors and caregivers receive the services and resources they need to thrive in our community and remain independent within their homes."
