Comprehensive Transportation Plan
Project Overview
Every five years, Cherokee County takes a close look at the transportation needs of people who live, work, and play throughout the County. This effort, funded by the Atlanta Regional Commission, will examine the many changes that have occurred in the County’s population, employment, land use and development since the adoption of the 2008 Cherokee County Comprehensive Transportation Plan.

Timeline & Project Status
The Comprehensive Transportation Plan update process kicked off with an Existing Conditions analysis in the summer of 2014 followed by a review of findings with the Stakeholder Advisory Committee. As the Needs Assessment phase concludes in early 2015, the County will invite the public to attend a public forum. Draft recommendations will be presented to the public and the final plan will be presented to the County for adoption in the summer of 2015.
