Biography

Brian Davis is the Procurement Director for Cherokee County, providing leadership and oversight for the County’s procurement and contract management functions. His responsibilities include competitive solicitations, cooperative purchasing programs, contract development, and procurement compliance, ensuring transparency and consistency.

Brian joined Cherokee County in July 2021, advancing from Senior Procurement Specialist and Team Leader to Procurement Director in December 2025.

Prior to joining the County, Brian spent 34 years with General Electric in the energy sector, holding various leadership and commercial roles focused on contract negotiation, risk management, and process improvement.

Brian holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from DeVry University, majoring in Business Information Systems, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and has completed multiple leadership and professional development programs.

A Cherokee County resident since 1999, Brian is married to his wife Debbie, is the father of Victoria and Brandon, and grandfather to Evelyn. He enjoys golf and tennis and has participated in local volunteer and community service initiatives.
