OPEN RECORDS
Prior to making a request for open records, please review the Georgia Open Records Act, specifically O.C.G.A. § 50-18-72, which specifies what types of records are exempt from public disclosure, as well as O.C.G.A. § 50-18-71, which provides information on costs expected to be recovered for the search, retrieval, redaction, and production of records.
Costs will be assessed for each request based on the amount of time required to process the request (there is no charge for the first 15 minutes). Charges are also authorized and will be assessed per page and per media storage device provided to complete each request. Requests expected to incur costs over $25 will receive a pre-retrieval estimate prior to the commencement of work.
